Getting Started

To get you on the road of MP3 creation, you can rip and encode your audio CDs using the default AudioCatalyst settings, it's just that simple. Take your favorite CD, pop it into your CD-ROM drive, select the tracks you want to rip, click the Encode button, and then select a location for your MP3 files.

Step by Step

  1. Insert your audio CD into your CD-ROM drive.
  2. From the AudioCatalyst main window, click the Add From CD button.
  3. From the CD Tracks dialog, select the tracks you want to encode. To select all tracks, click the Add All button to add all the tracks automatically. To select specific tracks, press the Command key and then click on each track you want to rip. When you have selected the tracks, click the Add Selected button.
  4. If you have access to the Internet, use the CDDB settings to retrieve the track names for your audio CD. From the AudioCatalyst main window, click the button.
  5. From the AudioCatalyst main window, click the Encode button and then select the location for your MP3 files. When you select the location, AudioCatalyst begins ripping and encoding automatically.
